MyConnection Server and Chrome 42+

What's the problem?

Google recently announced that it would be fading out support of Java (amongst other popular plugins) in Chrome 42 and above.

How can I enabled Java in Chrome 42+ today?

1) In your URL bar, enter: chrome://flags/#enable-npapi

2) Click the Enable link for the Enable NPAPI configuration option.

3) Click the Relaunch button that now appears at the bottom of the configuration page.

Note: This ability is due to be removed by the end of August, 2015.

Have you had any luck running a test under chrome?

Visualware is planning to release a version of the MyConnection range of tests that will be compatible with Chrome portable executable formats by August 2015. Note, from end of September Chrome will be incompatible with all other market browsers. Apple Safari users, Microsoft Internet Explorer users and Mozilla Firefox users will continue to work without change. MyConnection Server testing outside the browser such as automated remote agent testing, Android, iOS and Windows Phone MyConnection clients will also continue without change.
