Receiving a NCS device

Connecting & Configuring

Out of the box a NCS device will contain the device itself plus a power supply. If requested, Ethernet cables will be supplied.

NCS devices - both portable and 1U rack-mount - are delivered with the subnet 192.168.0 and an IP address of 192.168.0.98. By default, DHCP is enabled, so if the subnet matches the device then connect the device to the network. Once connected there are two ways to access the configuration menu.

The first is using the Windows configuration utility. The second is by browsing to the local IP.

If the network does not support DHCP, or if the device will require specific network settings, then click here for help configuring.
