Create Satellite Down Event

Click the Conifigure events link in the MCS administration menu

Enter a name for the new event and click the create button

• Choose "When a Satellite fails to connect" from the drop down menu at the top
• Optional: Select an event to trigger. If no event is selected MCS will log it in the events database, which can be accessed from the MCS main menu.
• Choose which Satellites to target. Satellites can be targetted as a whole, by group, or by text match.
• Choose how often to check for disconnected Satellites. A Satellite is determined to be disconnected if it has not made contact within 5 minutes. So, if 15 minutes was chosen here then every 15 minutes MCS would trigger the event for matched Satellites that have been out of contact for more than 5 minutes.
• This section will be filled with options that depend on what actions were selected. For example, if SQL export was chosen then a drop down list box will appear containing all the SQL profiles currently set up in MCS.
• Set an event level. This is only used when logging the event in MCS.
