Change Satellite Ports for Testing

Configure custom testing ports for satellites to override the global port settings defined in MCS.

Overview

Satellites have the ability to use ports other than the global ports set in MCS. This is controlled at the central MCS portal.

Advanced Settings

Click on the Satellites menu item to view a list of satellites that are currently connected.

A satellite must be enabled as a server before changing the assigned ports. Go to the advanced config by either checking the box (or multiple boxes) next to the satellite that needs the ports updating and click the Advanced link in the menu bar or click the menu icon for a particular satellite and choose Advanced config.

Update Ports

Scroll down to the Change Server Settings section, check the box, and update the port numbers accordingly. Once complete, click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Note: The server mode setting is also part of this section and does not automatically reflect the current setting. To keep the existing server mode, it must be set to match the current configuration.

To verify the current setting, check the top of the page where the current satellite settings are listed and locate the Server Status column.
