Work Order Passcode

Satellite to MCS / NCS authentication.

How it works

The work order passcode authenticates satellites to the server. Before a satellite can run a test against MyConnection Server (MCS), an NCS server, or an NCS access device, the work order must present this passcode. A satellite whose passcode does not match is refused.

Note: A passcode is not a user password. It secures machine-to-machine test requests and is not governed by the password specification rules. Use the Show checkbox to reveal the field while editing.

Setting the passcode

Enter the passcode in the Passcode field and click Save changes at the bottom of the page. The same passcode must be configured on the satellites that connect to this server.
